What is West Valley AI?
Hi, I’m Karin Golde! West Valley AI used to be my independent consulting firm. Now that I’ve moved on to be Chief Data Officer at GeoFlow AI, I’m keeping this site up as a way to continue to make connections.
A little more about me: My work has centered on natural language processing in enterprise software ever since I got my PhD in Linguistics. I have enjoyed working at a number of startups, including NetBase Quid where as VP of AI I built a team of data scientists to develop a market intelligence platform analyzing billions of data points. I also led a large team of computational linguists for the AI Data group at Amazon Web Services.
These days I’m deep into knowledge graphs as a way to create transparent models of the world. I believe that large language models are great for creating knowledge graphs and for interpreting knowledge graphs, but that layer of transparency in the middle opens up a whole new level of possibilities.
